My First CLAM Meeting
by The Searcher ini carried out my monthly "cover" visit to the k.h.
tonight.
as previously discussed on this forum, the clam meeting is just a rehashed, recycled, reshuffled, & rebranded ministry school and service meeting.

It sounds like the Witchtower Babel and Trick Society just wanted to eliminate the word "school" from the meeting for some legal issues and at the same time make everyone feel excited about scrambling the parts around for a new, refreshing, up building, can't be missed, so exciting, spiritually refreshing meeting. -

New here
by MarkofCane inhello and thanks to everyone for participating on this forum it has really been of much value, for those of you that post here know that your words are not lost you never know who is reading your expressions, lives are being changed and nonsense challenged.
i’m not much of a writer so excuse my untrained writing style and grammar but i want to share my story to help anyone who is visiting here to see that we are real people, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters who have come here for answers, there is no agenda, just searching for truth.
i hope my story will help others as so many here have helped me..

My Bethel Experience Part 16
by new boy inwe are nearing the end of the journey.......so this next two chapters will be called "odds and ends" or things i didn't put in the right chapters..........because i thought of them after those chapters were written..... .
bethel joke.
three guys are sitting around, each drinking a large glass of beer.........a publisher, a pioneer and a bethelite.......just then, a fly lands in all three of their glasses of beer........the publisher....pushes the glass away and says....."i can't drink this now"...........the pioneer looks over, and picks the fly out of the beer and keeps on drinking............the bethelite.........picks up the fly by its wings and holds its head over the glass and says "spit it out......spit it out!

I have really enjoyed your stories. I wish that Witlesses who live in their dream world would read your posts. Everyone thinks that going to Beth-hell is such a privilege and they are treated like royalty. I know a brother who left Beth-hell 5 years ago and he still throws his title of being a Beth-hellite around. -

I wish someone would tape Brother Lett's eyebrows so they wouldn't move up and down like window shades. The faces that he makes freak me out. -

Sour Grapes
Some of my best memories in life are about Christmas when I was a child. I loved the smell of the tree in the house, the beautiful lights and unwrapping the presents. Then my mom spent $0.10 one Saturday morning for the Watchtower and the Awake. Within 3 months my world came crashing down with no birthdays, Christmas or other holidays. Going out as a family after church to have dinner at a nice restaurant and then going to a movie stopped. Then my mom studied with me and my brother every week out of the Paradise book, which was such a waste of time. I absolutely hated it. My childhood was taken away from me for $0.10. I listen to Christmas songs all year long now because it takes my back to a happy time in my life.

Boredom at the Kingdom Hall meetings
by RULES & REGULATIONS input aside all the stupid rules, beliefs, doctrines and practices of the jehovah's witnesses.this is one of the main reasons why i stopped attending all meetings!

Sour Grapes
The meetings are painful to listen to. I am so tired of hearing how close the end is. My grandmother thought she would not die because the end was so close. She died. My mother believed she would not die because the end was so close. She died. I do not believe the end is close and I too shall die.
I just love when visiting speakers on Sundays read the outline and only look up at the audience for about 10 seconds every minute. Then after the meeting everyone tells him how good his talk was. My wife came home after one meeting and told me how good the meeting was. I asked her to tell me one new thing she learned. She had no answer.
Everyone just goes through the motions, while everyone gets older, and the flock dies off one by one. Thank goodness the end is near.

Pictures in the Watchtower
by Sour Grapes inafter sitting through last sunday's watchtower i got so sick of seeing the bobbing/nodding heads when talking about the pictures.
they act like god himself took the picture.
there must have been 10 comments about the group in service and the one brother was looking at his phone with a smile, which is a dead give away that he was reading something interesting.. what got me was how the older brother in the posed picture had a bible in his hand had a stern look on his face looking at the young brother.

What got me was how the older brother in the posed picture had a Bible in his hand had a stern look on his face looking at the young brother. Comments like, "the young brother is on Jehovah's time and shouldn't be using his phone." "See how the brother with the Bible is upset that he isn't carrying his Bible." " See how busy the friends are in the background, they aren't on their phones," etc., etc.
For God's sakes, we are encouraged to now count how many "air" magazines we can place, and how many times we get someone at the door to squint and look at our phone in the bright light to see a video. Why emphasize the brother with a Bible in his hand when the tablet is to replace it. Everyone acted liked the young brother taking a minute break to catchup on something is getting paid $100 and hour!!!!!!!!!! He isn't getting paid one damn penny and if he is the driver is losing money.
I feel better now. (not)
